The Android APK is a standalone app — you do not need Termux. If you prefer the Termux method, see Install on Android (Termux).

Prerequisites

  • Android device running Android 8.0 or higher
  • An active Reconnect subscription
  • Your account registered at app.reconnect-tool.com

Installation

Download the APK

Get the latest ReconnectX APK from the link pinned in the #download channel of the Reconnect Discord server.
Only download the APK from the official Discord channel or link provided by the Reconnect team. Do not use third-party sources.

Allow installation from unknown sources

Android blocks APKs that aren’t from the Play Store by default. When you tap the downloaded file, Android will prompt you to allow installation.If it doesn’t prompt automatically:
  1. Go to Settings → Apps
  2. Tap the browser or file manager you used to download the APK
  3. Enable Install Unknown Apps

Install the APK

Tap the downloaded .apk file and follow the on-screen prompts to install ReconnectX.

Open ReconnectX and log in

Launch the app, sign in with your Reconnect account, and your device will appear in your dashboard.
On success, you’ll see your device listed as Online in the dashboard.

Updating

When a new version is released, a new APK will be posted in the #download channel on Discord. Download and install it over the existing app — your settings and account will be kept.

Keeping It Running

To prevent Android from killing ReconnectX in the background, disable battery optimization for the app: Settings → Apps → ReconnectX → Battery → Unrestricted On some devices this is under Battery → App Launch — set ReconnectX to Manual and enable all three toggles (Auto-launch, Secondary launch, Run in background).
